NETexponent Releases Full Report of Affiliate Marketing Survey Results and Analysis on

New York, NY (PRWEB) November 12, 2008

Full-service online marketing agency NETexponent announced today the release of free affiliate marketing research in the form of the results of a 23-question survey distributed earlier this year. The survey collected information about affiliates’ firsthand experiences in the affiliate marketing space and was designed to help develop and evaluate marketing best practices. The report will be available on, the affiliate research division of NETexponent.

AffiliateBenchmarks recognized a gap in existing research on affiliate marketing, prompting the division to initiate its research effort. Rather than build a survey focused on advertisers, agencies, or others involved in affiliate marketing, AffiliateBenchmarks’ survey aimed to collect information about affiliate marketing from the affiliates’ perspective. The survey posed questions about affiliates’ wants, needs, and experiences, and the results included in the report released today should help reinforce marketing best practices and develop new ones. The report will be available free for 30 days, after which it may be purchased.

The survey included 23 questions about topics such as affiliates’ experiences with different types of ad performance, site visitor demographics, technology and communication preferences, reasons for joining an affiliate program, experiences with emerging technology, and more. Affiliates and other members of the affiliate marketing community should find the responses interesting and relevant.

“We were hoping to uncover practical information about affiliates and their experiences by conducting this survey, and we were not disappointed,” said Chris Kramer, Media Director and Co-Founder at NETexponent. “We definitely feel like members of the affiliate community will be able to use this information to their benefit and that we’ve been able to give back to the industry by coordinating this survey and contributing to the effort to continually learn more about affiliate marketing, as well as develop and reinforce marketing best practices.”

AffiliateBenchmarks and NETexponent publicized the survey by directly contacting known affiliates, publishing a press release, and promoting the survey on websites and blogs. The goal was to spread the word to as many affiliates as possible, and with the help of other members of the affiliate community AffiliateBenchmarks was able to accumulate over 450 responses.
